Code of Ethics

As a member of the World Metaphysical Association (WMA) there is a certain Code of Ethics we must abide by. I feel that this is something that all readers and providers should honor. I am posting it here for all of you to read along with a link to the WMA in case you would like to learn more about it. ~ Lena M. Townsend, RMP

World Metaphysical Association
CODE OF ETHICS

The WMA reserves the right to cancel a member's application, accreditation, or certification if the board of directors believes an individual or business is in violation of any of the below. We offer our code of ethics as a guideline of what we expect in a member.

As an organization of metaphysical practitioners and spiritual healers, We, the members of the World Metaphysical Association pledge the following:

To treat the WMA staff, application process, and code of conduct with respect.

Failure to be honest, polite, or in any other way professional can and will lead to membership refusal, removal of endorsement, or nullification of your status.

To not refuse a client or student solely based on his or her sexual, or religious status, country of origin, or any other reason that would be seen as illegal or discriminatory in your state or country.

To not preach our practices fanatically, but share them with those who genuinely want the services we provide.

To treat the client and student as a whole person, professionally, compassionately, and with dignity.

To retain a client’s session in strictest confidence.

To provide all knowledge that we have to offer to those who want it in a way that is understandable and effective

To not mislead a client in thinking that we can guarantee a cure, or predict and conclude a guaranteed outcome, as in good conscience no healer or metaphysician, traditional or alternative, can guarantee a cure for any illness, nor make any prediction that is set in stone.

To not provide our services to those who have not given us consent, as it violates free will. Spiritual work can not work effectively on any client who has not fully embraced the option of regaining health and clarity

To serve as role models and representatives by preserving the ethical and spiritual components of Metaphysics and spiritual healing.
To continue to practice and train in our profession, knowing that learning is never complete

To provide our full attention to our students and apprentices, offering the best and more accurate teaching materials, original manuals, and other learning devices necessary to make that learning possible.

To treat all practitioners with honesty and gratitude, regardless of how they treat us in return

To be honest when you do not have the ability or knowledge to help a client and to make it your practice to find someone else who can.

To live life according to the Spiritual Principles we preach.

As a member, if you believe a member or school is in violation of our ethics or is engaging in activities that may potentially harm the community at large, you will email us anonymously or in some way bring this matter to our attention.
